Foundation Registration - 8 October 2019

Registration night for the Foundation licence Exam.  13 people registered!!  Here's a photo of some of them at the club shack.

Railways on the Air - 21 September 2019

Team MUARC were at Downpatrick and County Down Railway for this year's activation.  Although conditions were not favourable, the team managed about 40 contacts, mostly 40m with some on 80m and 2m.  The team included Brian - MI0TGO, John - GI7SBF, John - 2I0FIP and Geoff - GI0LAM.  

Air Ambulance Weekend - Sunday, 15 September 2019 

Mid Ulster Amateur Radio Club was operating from the Ulster Aviation Society Radio Room using a special event call sign GB4UAS.  The Ulster Aviation Society is on the same site as the Air Ambulance.


The club has received a Certificate in recognition of their support for the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance.

THE ADRIAN ISMAY MEMORIAL CUP - 8 September 2019

This person is fairly recent licence holder, who has dived into amateur radio with both feet. He is a tireless volunteer in St John Ambulance and recently RAYNET and always tries to make himself available for duties where he possibly can. For using his licence outside of the club tirelessly.

Some who has encouraged us to go after a new mode inside the club, who sparked the idea of new portable antennas that was talked about by others outside the club that has made portable work much easier for people across the country. He sparked this off with a talk on satellites.
